About. We are a family owned business that has been providing trees to the area for three generations, and we are more than happy to help you find what you are looking for. Here at Arthur Weiler Nursery, we have something for everyone! We provide an extensive line of balled and burlapped (B&B) trees - deciduous trees, shrubs, and evergreens - all at our local tree farm in Bristol, WI. Our production includes over 300 acres of field grown trees, and a handful of smaller potted shrubs.
We keep an extensive selection of trees in the yard ready for those last minute, or spur of the moment projects. Maybe you need a statement tree, one that stands out in the garden. Or maybe you want a big shade tree, or something that can withstand exposure to environmental pollution like road salt and runoff. Our experienced staff is here to answer any questions you may have, and load up all the materials for you! Why B&B? Balled and burlapped, or B&B, trees from our farm offer many advantages over container grown trees. Because we grow everything in the ground and ball and burlap our trees, we are able to offer a greater variety to our customers. To start, they’re already growing in the same zone as you so there is less shock to the plant, increasing the transplant success rate. You never know where container trees are originally grown. Secondly, because they come with a bigger root ball and plenty of soil, they require less maintenance to establish than container trees that need frequent watering to become established. Lastly, many container grown/available trees have greatly restricted root systems, and can even be root bound; you don’t get that with B&B trees. All of the trees in our yard have been carefully selected and cared for by our team. From pruning the roots and stems as bare root liners, to planting, digging, and installing drip line irrigation for trees in the field, and in our yard. Established in 1954Arthur P. Weiler started his career working at Twin Nurseries, a family-owned business in Prairie View, IL, which began in 1915. Arthur worked for his father and later managed the business when his father semi-retired in 1950. In 1957, Arthur purchased 13.5 acres on Route 22 near Lake Zurich, IL and changed the name to Arthur Weiler Nursery. The business continued to grow rapidly. In 1969, Arthur expanded again and purchased 110 acres in Zion, IL where the main office was located. The company incorporated in 1973 and changed the name to Arthur Weiler, Inc. Arthur’s son, Glenn, joined the company in 1976. Glenn's son - Arthur joined the company full-time in 2009. In 2016 the nursery expanded to Bristol, WI with a new 310 Acre farm. As of 2023 all operations are under one roof here at the Bristol tree farm.

Our CustomersThe tree nursery sells to landscapers, nurseries, municipalities, and local gardeners and residents throughout the Midwest. Many people come in not knowing what they want, fall in love with a tree or shrub and take it right home to plant. Others come in and are in a pinch trying to find certain materials, knowing they can find it with us. Many have come in to tag large orders in the field, knowing that we always deliver quality products on time.
