Notes
- A distinctively shaped feature tree with showy pink-edged white flowers in spring emerging from red buds and persistent orange-red fruit in fall, rigidly upright habit of growth;
- Due to its strong branching habit, this cultivar needs minimal pruning.
- Once touched by frost, the persistent fruit becomes mushy and appeals to birds that will quickly eat them up.
- Buds for the next season will set in mid-summer, so prune in early June if needed.
- Suckers should be removed and pruning the center of the plant to encourage air movement, which can help prevent disease problems.
