True North Kentucky Coffee Tree is a very large, tough shade tree. Notable for it’s narrow and upright-oval form, strong branching structure, and its lack of fruit and seeds. It's leaves turn a lovely soft yellow in fall which plays a nice contrast against its rugged, scaly bark. Tolerant of tough urban conditions including, cold, heat, and drought.

• True North has an upright vase-shape that resembles the classic Elm form. The dark green bi-pinnately compound leaves turn yellow in the fall and provide dappled shade. A male selection that is fruitless. Attractive dark scaly bark in the winter. Adaptable to a range of soil types including alkaline. Tolerant of urban conditions including cold, heat, and drought.
