Green Mountain is the standard for comparison in Sugar Maples. It is the most widely planted selection and has proven itself well over time. It is probably the hardiest Sugar Maple, and is one of the best choices for northern areas. It provides reliably beautiful fall color.

• The Green Mountain is one of the hardiest Sugar Maples available and is a superior selection for northern climates.
  
• This is a relatively low maintenance tree, and should only be pruned in summer after the leaves have fully developed, as it may 'bleed' sap if pruned in late winter or early spring.
