The foliage resembles Blue Star Juniper, but the overall color has a mix of green and blue with some waxiness to the needles. The needles are short and arranged in the formation of a star - especially the newest growth. Fall dormancy adds some purplish color to the foliage. It's an excellent, fast-growing upright Juniper tree with a nice narrow shape that is somewhat broader at the base. These plants can grow about a foot or more in a season.
