  • This tree is a reliable grower, even in the poorest of sites. The small, sweet acorns are possibly the most preferred by wildlife. The chestnut-like leaves and bright fall colors make Chinkapin Oak a bold statement in any landscape.
  • ​Prune oaks in the dormant season to avoid attracting beetles that may carry oak wilt.
  • Chinkapin Oaks set acorns earlier than other oaks, as early as year seven or eight.
